Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 8th St Petersburg International Labour Forum “Labour, Employment, Human Resources: New Challenges and Solutions.”
The message reads, in part:
”By bringing together representatives of government bodies, business and expert communities from Russia and the CIS in the northern capital, your forum aims to focus on a broad range of topical issues related to the development of human capital, harmonisation of labour relations, strengthening of human resources, including at defence industry enterprises.
I want to stress that our top priorities today include enhancing labour productivity, carrying out high-quality modernisation of employment services, and training skilled, competitive professionals. It goes without saying that production facilities should introduce digital technologies and promising scientific developments. Another important issue is improving educational and professional standards, along with effective regulation of labour migration.
I am confident that this forum will be constructive, allowing you to exchange best practices, ideas and experience, and contributing to the creation of a modern labour market across the CIS.“
