Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 35th Congress of the Association of Russian Rural and Farm Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives, timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the revival of farming in Russia.
The message reads, in part:
“Representatives of farm enterprises are rightly considered successors to the best traditions of the Russian farming community; they are energetic, diligent and economical farm owners who truly love their work and their native land. As they remain committed to these unwavering foundations and values, showing proactivity and entrepreneurial spirit, farmers successfully work in all industries of the Russian agricultural sector. They are responsible for the broad implementation of advanced technologies and effective models of agricultural cooperation. They make a significant contribution to the country’s food security. And, certainly, they are deeply involved in tackling relevant social issues and make substantial efforts to develop rural territories and improve the quality of life for local populations.
I want to note the considerable support that the Association of Russian Rural and Farm Enterprises and Agricultural Cooperatives offers to farmers, and its efforts to enhance the prestige of jobs in agriculture.”
