Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the 22nd National Congress of Commissioners for Children’s Rights in Russian Regions.
The message reads, in part:
“Russia has designated 2024 as the Year of the Family, which gives added significance to your vital mission of protecting children. The institution of Commissioners for Children’s Rights has proven its practical value since its establishment. You are actively engaged in implementing socially oriented projects, help promote traditional spiritual and moral values in society, elevate the status and prestige of families, especially large families, you provide support to children facing adversities.
Furthermore, providing effective assistance to the families of personnel involved in the special military operation, as well as veterans and those who have lost their families, relatives and friends remains an important aspect of your work. For example, you provide them with housing, arrange their medical and psychological rehabilitation, and ensure that they receive high-quality education.”
