Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants and guests of the International Kant Congress “The World Concept of Philosophy.”
The message reads, in part:
“The initiative to celebrate this significant anniversary on a broad scale has been given proactive support both in our country and abroad. This is a dramatic evidence of the undying interest in the personality of this brilliant and unique thinker and in his philosophical writings, which remain relevant to this day and continue to inspire new generations of scholars to profound and substantive ponderings.
I hope that the anniversary celebrations will be instrumental in preserving Immanuel Kant’s rich intellectual and humanistic legacy and encourage the further study of his works, which became a veritable breakthrough in their time and an invaluable contribution to the development of scientific thinking, culture, and educational activities.
What is important, you will be able to discuss key global challenges and trends, as well as issues related to strengthening international cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and to promoting philosophical science and education as part of your congress attended by representatives of various countries, academic disciplines, and philosophical schools.”
