Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 14th Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists of CIS and Eurasia Countries, currently underway in Dushanbe at the initiative of the Association of Directors of Centres and Institutes of Oncology and Radiology of the CIS and Eurasia.
The message reads, in part:
“Your Association was founded by Nikolai Trapeznikov, a prominent scientist, talented organiser and clinician, whose groundbreaking research and unique practical methods greatly facilitated a significant breakthrough in the development of crucial aspects of national medicine and contributed to significant successes in diagnosing and treating acute health disorders.
I am delighted to note that you value the rich creative legacy of Academician Nikolai Trapeznikov and his followers, bringing together doctors, experts and representatives of related professions at the Association’s platforms. These traditional and highly important meetings allow for the exchange of accumulated experience and the results of advanced achievements, ultimately promoting more effective treatment of oncological diseases.
I am confident that the forum currently underway at Avicenna Tajik State Medical Universitywill be an important event for the professional communities of our countries, and will help strengthen international cooperation in healthcare.”
