Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the Road to Yalta International Music Festival.
The message reads, in part:
“Your public and patriotic creative forum is well known in both Russia and far beyond. Its programme includes our favourite songs, impressive performances by recognised masters and budding artists, memorable meetings and camaraderie. I would like to emphasise that the initiative to hold the festival helps preserve our cultural and historical heritage, the memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War and the feat of our people that upheld freedom of our Fatherland and defeated Nazism.
Today, in the time of hard trials, the great spiritual and moral example of the victorious generation is giving us reliable support. It helps us educate our youth and enhance the values that are uniting and consolidating our society.
I am confident the festival will evoke much interest and become a highlight among the events dedicated to the Victory Day.”
