Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council via videoconference.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: We will now discuss a topic that is always a priority for us in the foreign policy sphere: building relations with our closest neighbours, the independent states in the post-Soviet space. The Finance Minister [Anton Siluanov] and I noted that we should pay even more attention to this area in the new political cycle in Russia and discuss the way we will organise this work from all points of view, including organisational.
We will return to this later, but now let us actually get down to this conversation, this discussion on one of the aspects of this multi-vector work.
