Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences on the death of the People’s Artist of Russia, Rector of the Academy of Water Colours and Fine Arts Sergei Andriyaka to his family and friends.
The message reads, in part:
A talented, distinctive artist, wise teacher and mentor has passed away. With his inspired creativity, Sergei Andriyaka gave people the joy of meeting with real art and was open for good, charitable deeds.
The bright memory of this wonderful man and a true devotee will forever remain in the hearts of his relatives, friends, students, all admirers of his generous gift.
