Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 4th Cantata International Classical Music Festival which marks the 300th anniversary of the outstanding philosopher Immanuel Kant.
The message reads, in part:
“Your traditional forums fulfil an important mission: they draw people’s attention to the crucial issues of preserving unique historical and architectural monuments of our country’s westernmost region, serve as a great creative platform for performances by recognised stars of national and international art and young talents. Of course, I would like to emphasise the important humanitarian and charitable initiatives of the festival.
As always, the programme of the festival which is held under the motto “The Russian Idea in Central Europe,” is rich and varied. It introduces the guests to classical musical works, engaging films and theatrical performances, and gives them a great opportunity to meet famous artists, performers, and public figures.
I am confident that the festival will be a success and become a colourful and memorable event in the cultural life of the Kaliningrad Region and the whole of Russia.”
