Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly-elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The message reads, in part:
“Russian-Iranian relations are of friendly and good neighbourly nature. Moscow and Tehran effectively coordinate efforts in resolving relevant issues on the international agenda.
I am counting that your activity as president will facilitate further growth of constructive bilateral cooperation in all directions for the benefit of our friendly peoples and will strengthen regional security and stability.”
