President Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants in the 11th Russia-Kyrgyzstan Interregional Conference that has opened in Krasnoyarsk.
The presidential message reads, in part:
“Interregional ties are traditionally a significant component of relations of strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. I would like to note that interaction in this sphere is developing rather actively and fruitfully. Doubtless, regular interregional conferences involving representatives of central and local government agencies, business and expert circles facilitate this process and provide an opportunity for direct and informal dialogue and experience exchanges as well as make it possible to hold various exhibitions and presentations.
The current conference has a very packed agenda. There are plans to discuss prospects for implementing joint projects in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, science and technology, and other spheres. The agenda also provides for a special session on the development of interregional cooperation within the EAEU framework, as well as the establishment of relevant financial and administrative mechanisms.
I am confident that your substantive and constructive discussions will further expand partner ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan and promote mutually beneficial integration processes.”
