Greetings on Russian Postal Service Day

July 14, 2024

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the current and former employees of Russian Post on Russian Postal Service Day, which marks its 30th anniversary.

The message reads, in part:

“You may be justifiably proud of the bright pages of the history of postal service in our country dating back centuries, and of many generations of your predecessors – real, dedicated professionals.

And today, at the age of rapid development of information and communication technologies, the mail service remains the most accessible means of communication, connecting people living in different cities and countries, and providing for stable work of enterprises and institutions. It delivers benefits, pensions and other social payments to citizens, including those in remote and hard-to-reach localities.

I would like to highlight the active assistance of the Russian Post staff to our soldiers, who are bravely fighting in the zone of the special military operation. In a short period of time, free mail and humanitarian cargoes delivery was organised so that every defender of the Fatherland could feel the warmth, care and affection of relatives, friends and just responsive and concerned people.

I am confident that you will continue to work honestly in the future and properly solve the tasks aimed at improving the postal service infrastructure and quality.”
