Vladimir Putin sent a message of greeting to the staff of the Mayak radio station on its 60th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“I would like to congratulate you on the 60th anniversary of the Mayak radio station, an acknowledged leader in the national radio industry.
You can be rightfully proud of the bright pages in the history of the legendary Mayak radio station, the many generations of your talented predecessors and, of course, the vast audience of your loyal listeners who tune in to their favourite radio station every day.
I have no doubt that this big and enduring success is the result of concerted efforts by Mayak staff and your sincere striving to create a line of top-quality products ranging from news and education to music and entertainment programmes.”
