The two leaders discussed the situation in Kyrgyzstan. President Nazarbayev told President Medvedev about his contacts with the temporary government of Kyrgyzstan and the efforts to stabilise the situation in the republic.
Following the conversation, Dmitry Medvedev instructed Russia’s Defence Ministry to fly Kurmanbek Bakiev and his family to Kazakhstan for humanitarian purposes.
