Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to the participants, organisers, and guests of the Second National Children's Environmental Forum.
The message reads, in part:
”It is heartening to observe that this year's forum has ascended to a new, more ambitious level, bringing together in Chelyabinsk thousands of schoolchildren from across all regions of Russia. These young individuals are aspiring to dedicate their professional careers to environmental pursuits and the execution of essential environmental programmes.
I wish to underscore that it is largely due to influential initiatives such as yours that children begin to engage in volunteer activities, drawing in their parents, relatives, and friends into this movement. They propose innovative ideas and initiatives in the realm of ecology and execute them successfully. Naturally, it is significant that on the forum platform, young participants will have the opportunity to interact with older peers and like-minded individuals, including scientists, experts, representatives of pertinent ministries and departments, public organisations, and business circles. They will have the chance to receive invaluable advice, recommendations, and encouragement.
I am confident that the forum will be conducted in an informal, congenial atmosphere and will contribute to the nurturing of an environmental culture within the younger generation, fostering a careful and responsible attitude towards the unique natural riches of our Motherland.“
