Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the employees of the Museum of the Chechen Republic on its 100th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“Thanks to the tireless work, talent and enthusiasm of several generations of the museum’s workers, and the nation’s generous art collections, your museum is rightfully considered one of the major prestigious cultural and educational centres in the Chechen Republic and the entire North Caucasus. Its rich displays reflect the region’s history from ancient times to the present day, allowing visitors to benefit from the invaluable cultural and spiritual heritage of the people who have inhabited this fertile land for centuries, to see unique archaeological and ethnographic finds, and genuine masterpieces of fine art.
It is certainly gratifying that the current team continues to replenish the museum’s collections and engage in research and art restoration. The high recognition by both professionals and regular visitors is a well-deserved reward for your dedication and loyalty to traditions.”
