On November 27–28, Vladimir Putin will make a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan and will also take part in a regular session of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) in Astana.
The President's state visit will include talks with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The leaders will discuss issues pertaining to further development of Russia-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and allied relationship in various areas, particularly in the light of this year's presidencies of Kazakhstan in the CSTO and of Russia in the Commonwealth of Independent States and BRICS. Following the talks, a Joint Statement by the Heads of State will be adopted, and a number of intergovernmental, interdepartmental, and commercial agreements will be signed.
Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will address the participants of the plenary session of the 20th Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum, to be held in Ufa, via videoconference.
The session of the CSTO Collective Security Council will examine the results of this year's interaction within the Organization and identify the main tracks for further improvement of the collective security system. An exchange of views on current international and regional issues will also take place.
