The Order states that from January 1, 2010, engineers and technical workers, specialists and skilled workers under the age of 35 working at Russian defence industry enterprises will be eligible for monthly stipends of 20,000 rubles.
Young defence industry workers can earn the stipends for their contribution to advancing scientific, technical, production and technological development, improving quality standards, and ensuring combat effective and competitive arms, equipment and special and innovative technology.
According to the Order, recipients are proposed by the Government and approved by the President. The stipends can be granted for up to three years and can be awarded to one and the same person more than once. The total number of recipients in a single year shall not exceed 1,000 people.
The Government has received the relevant instructions on this matter.
