Vladimir Putin sent greetings to participants and guests of the 9th International Charity Cadet Ball, organised in support of the special military operation and marking Heroes of the Fatherland Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Your remarkable and truly beautiful creative project takes us back to the bright pages of Russian history and the traditions of holding famous balls for the cadets of Russian military schools. Today, students from cadet corps and schools with cadet classes, military cadets, members of youth, patriotic, sport and volunteer organisations, and foreign citizens studying in Russia have gathered here in Moscow from across the country.
We are happy to note that a rich and diverse programme has been prepared for the event participants. They will meet with heroic frontline service personnel, our officers and soldiers who are defending the Motherland during the special military operation. They will take part in fascinating guided tours, meet new people and have an opportunity to communicate in a friendly and informal setting.
Our special and warmest words go to the organisers of this magnificent official event. Your involvement in the destinies of children and your striving to educate young people on the basis of intransient values of patriotism, civic consciousness and respect for our historical and cultural traditions deserve profound acclaim.”
