Meeting with President of National Medical Research Centre for Endocrinology Ivan Dedov

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with President of the National Medical Research Centre for Endocrinology, Chief Visiting Endocrinologist of the Healthcare Ministry, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Ivan Dedov.

Considering that the Endocrinology Centre is marking its 100th anniversary this year, Ivan Dedov told the President about the history of the research institution, which has been headed by distinguished representatives of science and healthcare who always followed global trends in physiology, morphology, cytogenetics, regenerative medicine, and organ transplantation. Today, the centre stands as a world-class research and medical facility that serves 150,000 outpatient visits and sees 25,000 inpatient admissions annually. According to Ivan Dedov, the Institute has maintained its status as the country’s flagship endocrinology centre throughout its century-long history.

The President noted the centre’s major achievements over the years and suggested talking about its future as well as the next developmental steps.
