Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the faculty and cadets of the Order of Zhukov – Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School on its 85th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“Since its creation in 1940, your university has accomplished much in developing the national higher military education system. It has made a significant contribution to training skilled officers and has produced an entire galaxy of outstanding professionals who have added remarkable chapters to the legendary military history of our Motherland.
The school takes great pride in its teachers and graduates who fought courageously on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, accomplished complicated military missions in hot spots during the post-war period, and are now fighting heroically and defending the freedom and security of Russia and our people during the special military operation.
Today, the school ranks among the most important educational centres of the Ground Forces. It employs highly competent professors, lecturers and instructors, as well as skilled commanders with real combat experience. They are using the most advanced technologies and teaching methods and are actively introducing innovative teaching aids and equipment.
I am confident that the university’s faculty and cadets will continue to work conscientiously and to display their exemplary competence, loyalty to military duty and oath of allegiance.”
