“The current forum in Moscow has brought together representatives from various Russian regions and creative organisations for a serious conversation on professional challenges and the future of Russian literature and publishing. All of you are united by a deep respect for the immensely rich traditions of our literature, rooted in high humanistic ideals, and the values of enlightenment and creation.

I would like to emphasise that Russia’ classical literary heritage and the best works of contemporary authors play a crucial role in strengthening our cultural, spiritual and ideological sovereignty. They are meant to set high moral standards and serve as a guiding force in educating younger generations. Throughout history, our greatest writers, poets and publicists – regardless of their social or literary affiliations – prioritised patriotism, justice, respect for the individual, his rights and dignity, and a profound sense of responsibility for Russia’s destiny and future. I am confident that you and your colleagues will continue to uphold these great ideals and principles.”
