Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the 36th Congress of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (AKKOR).
The message reads, in part:
“I would like to note that the fruitful and productive work of the Russian farmers’ movement (AKKOR) over the past few years has greatly contributed to consolidating that professional community, strengthening its constructive dialogue with the authorities and addressing the current issues facing that sector. It is also important that the Association is actively involved in improving the relevant legislation and is greatly facilitating the development of our rural areas and the enhancement of the quality of life there.
I would like to thank you for your unwavering commitment to the best traditions of rural workers, a resourceful approach to your work and, most importantly, for your sincere love of our land.
I am confident that this congress will be held at a high organisational and creative level, and that the ideas and initiatives of its participants will be carried out and will contribute to the achievement of our ambitious goals for the development of Russia’s agricultural industry as a power engine of the national economy.”
