Greetings to National Congress Diabetes Mellitus – the Non-Infectious Pandemics of the 21st Century. Macro- and Micro-Vascular Complications. Interdisciplinary Interaction

May 28, 2025

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to the participants and guests of the X (XXXI) National Diabetes Congress with international participation, Diabetes Mellitus – the Non-Infectious Pandemics of the 21st Century. Macro- and Micro-Vascular Complications. Interdisciplinary Interaction.

The message reads, in part:

“Greetings on the opening of the congress dedicated to the centenary of the Russian Association of Endocrinologists and the Dedov National Medical Research Centre for Endocrinology of the Russian Healthcare Ministry.

Over the past years, many generations of your predecessors – scientists, doctors, specialists and medical nurses – have made a vast creative contribution to the study of a broad range of issues related to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of dangerous diseases, accumulating truly unique scientific and practical experience, and providing quality medical assistance to tens of thousands of patients.

It is noteworthy that the current staff of the Dedov Centre, which has brought together top-notch professionals, are continuing this selfless labour. It is also important that the annual forums you hold jointly with the Russian Association of Endocrinologists adopt recommendations and decisions that facilitate an efficient development of important, priority spheres of healthcare. Your plenary sessions, symposia and roundtables offer participants from Russia and other countries, as well as representatives of international medical organisations, an opportunity to hold substantive discussions on current professional issues, exchange experience, familiarise themselves with the results of forward-looking research and state-of-the-art technologies, and map out future cooperation.”
