Vladimir Putin sent greetings to current employees and veterans of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Centre on its 25th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“I am delighted to offer my congratulations on this momentous date: the 25th anniversary of the CIS Anti-Terrorism Centre.
Over the years, the Centre has proven to be a vital and integral component of the collective security framework. By significantly enhancing its personnel, technical capabilities, and analytical resources, it has made a substantial contribution to combating the global challenges of our time, namely, international terrorism and extremism.
I would like to emphasise that the Centre’s personnel consistently approach their tasks with the highest level of professionalism. Their competence, efficiency, and determination in achieving objectives enable the successful execution of the most complex special operations, the identification and suppression of terrorist subversive activities, and the neutralisation of dangerous criminals.
In light of the rapid changes occurring globally and within the Eurasian region, it is crucial to enhance cooperation among the special services and law enforcement agencies of the Commonwealth. This includes maintaining a continuous exchange of experience and relevant information, implementing new coordinated models for counter-terrorism efforts, and, importantly, preserving and further developing the time-tested traditions of cooperation.
I am confident that you will continue to carry out your duties with dignity and honour, while actively strengthening partnerships in the field of counterterrorism.”
