The President’s message reads, in part:

“This programme of events will run for four years and transform the XXII Winter Olympics host city into a global cultural centre. The organisers have put together an impressive programme of memorable events spanning hundreds of festivals, concerts, exhibitions, and creative forums that will bring together well-known names from the world of arts and new young talents.

I am sure that this Cultural Olympiad will help the world to get to know our country better and give people around the globe a taste of the unique atmosphere and beauty that is Sochi, the host city of 2014’s biggest sports event.”
