Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Uzbekistan has achieved remarkable progress in the social and economic spheres, is gaining increasing authority on the international stage, and is making a constructive contribution to addressing many important issues on both the regional and global agenda.
Relations between our countries are developing dynamically in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. Effective coordination of efforts has been established within the CIS, the SCO, and other multilateral formats.
I am confident that we will continue to steadily expand and deepen the mutually beneficial Russia-Uzbekistan ties across all areas. This fully serves the interests of our friendly peoples and contributes to strengthening security and stability in Central Asia.”
