Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the staff of the Helmholtz National Medical Research Centre for Eye Diseases of the Russian Ministry of Health on its 125th anniversary.
The message reads, in part:
“You have every right to be proud of the founders of the renowned Alekseyev City Eye Hospital – caring and generous activists, true devotees and enthusiasts. Undeniably, the many generations of your predecessors have also made an immense contribution to advancing both domestic and global medical science and clinical practice.
It is heartening to see how, over the years, the Helmholtz Centre has significantly strengthened its capacity, evolving into the nation’s leading research, medical, consultative, and educational institution for ophthalmology. Within its walls works a close-knit team of like-minded professionals – talented scientists, doctors, and nurses who are sincerely devoted to their work, their professional and moral duty, and the wonderful traditions of charity, compassion, and dedication. Your team conducts profound research, develops advanced methods for treatment and rehabilitation, and places a strong priority on training competent specialists.
I would like to give special recognition to the qualified medical care and support you provide to participants and veterans of the special military operation.”
