Dmitry Medvedev sent to the State Duma expert opinions on draft laws amending the law regulating coal production, the law on subsoil resources, laws on higher education and science, and also the Town-Planning Code and various legislative acts.
President Medvedev outlined the shortcomings in these draft laws, pointing out particular provisions that require more thorough definition and exclusion of ambiguous interpretation. The President believes that some of the amendments proposed by the draft laws require further discussion on their expediency in general.
