The agreement gives Interpol as a whole, including its President, Secretary General, members of the Interpol Executive Committee, Interpol advisers, staff of the Interpol General Secretariat, delegates and invited experts and observers the privileges and immunity necessary for them to carry out their functions during the meeting of the Interpol Executive Committee and session of the Interpol General Assembly.
The agreement was signed in Marrakech (Morocco) on November 7, 2007.
