The law is aimed at improving the registration system of foreign nationals and stateless persons who are temporary residents in hotels in Russia.
The law grants hotels the right to note on the tear-off portion of a form notifying immigration authorities and the federal postal service of the presence of a foreign national in a temporary place of residence in Russia.
