This year’s single day of voting will take place on September 8. In a number of regions, by decision of election commissions, voting will take place over two or even three days on September 6–7. Remote electronic voting is available in 26 regions. Citizens will elect regional heads, deputies of legislative assemblies, city councils, and representative bodies of municipal authorities, as well as the State Duma deputies in three single-mandate constituencies. In all, more than 4,000 different-level election campaigns will be held.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: September 8 marks the single day of voting in Russia. The voting outcomes will be used to form government bodies at various levels which is indispensable to ensure political stability in the country, a particularly important aspect of today’s life.
