Vladimir Putin met with trade union representatives from the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Dilma Rousseff. The two heads of state discussed key issues in bilateral cooperation, including the opportunity to expand trade and economic as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Vladimir Putin held an expanded meeting of the Security Council at the Kremlin. The meeting discussed a range of issues concerning protection of Russia’s security and national interests in the face of sanctions imposed by a number of countries.

A reception in honour of graduates of military academies was held at the Kremlin. This year graduates from the Defence Ministry’s academies were joined at the event by graduates from the academies run by the Interior Ministry, Emergency Situations Ministry, Federal Security Service, and Federal Guard Service, and, for the first time, from institutions run by the Justice Ministry.

Vladimir Putin met with former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, who was in Moscow following an invitation from the Russian International Affairs Council.
