Presidential Aide and Secretary of the State Council Igor Levitin held a meeting on preparing a State Council Presidium meeting on developing the tourism and resort sector in Russia.
The meeting examined the development of Irkutsk Region’s tourism and resort sector.
The participants noted the region’s positive experience in making use of the Lake Baikal area’s rich natural resources for developing leisure, tourism and health activities and improving domestic and foreign tourism figures.
The meeting also looked at satisfying public demand for health resorts.
