Meeting of working group on preparations for State Council Presidium meeting on simplifying business procedures

Presidential Aide and Secretary of the State Council Presidium Igor Levitin chaired the second meeting of the working group charged with preparing a meeting of the State Council consultative commission on the results obtained through the introduction of targeted models of simplifying procedures for doing business.

Head of the State Council working group, elected Governor of Novgorod Region Andrei Nikitin and Agency for Strategic Initiatives Director General Svetlana Chupsheva briefed participants on the progress with drafting up the working group’s report.

Present at the meeting were Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra Natalya Komarova, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Yegor Borisov, Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatyev, as well as representatives of federal and regional executive authorities and of the expert community.

The draft report prepared by the working group reflects the results of all the systemic projects that are being implemented, such as the national entrepreneurship initiative, the regional investment standard, the National Rating and targeted models. The draft report also contains an analysis of the results of the introduction of targeted models of simplifying procedures for doing business and increasing investment appeal, together with proposals on improving the investment climate at the regional level.

The meeting participants discussed issues that arose during the introduction of targeted models, as well as systemic solutions suggested by the working group to improve the investment climate in the regions.
