Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired a meeting on preparations for the end-of-year State Council session to discuss the investment appeal of the regions as the basis for the economic development of the Russian Federation“.
Novgorod Region Governor Andrei Nikitin, Voronezh Region Governor Alexei Gordeyev and Deputy Finance Minister Leonid Gornin made reports at the meeting.
The participants discussed issues related to developing a package of measures to create advantages for investment and to remove related hindrances both at the regional and federal levels.
In addition, they focused on coordination between executive bodies and oversight and law enforcement agencies of the Russian regions in order to enhance the investment appeal of the regions.
The issue of forming responsible regional budget policies was also discussed.
