Meeting of the State Council working group on developing volunteer movement, socially oriented organisations and youth policy

Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin had the first meeting of the State Council Working Group on the Development of Volunteer Movement, Socially Oriented Non-Profit Organisations and Youth Policy.

The working group is headed by State Council member, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov. Mr Alikhanov informed the participants about the working group’s goals and tasks in the course of preparing the report for the State Council meeting.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Education Minister Irina Potekhina, Deputy Sports Minister Marina Tomilova, Deputy Healthcare Minister Oleg Salagai, representatives of the Federation Council, State Duma, federal and regional executive bodies, business community, scientific and public organisations.

The meeting participants noted the necessity to work further on the Concept for Developing Volunteer Movement in Russia until 2025, prepare the activity plan for its implementation based on regional specifics, develop additional measures, increase the public’s involvement in these activities and also develop a concept to promote charity in Russia.

The meeting participants discussed the effectiveness of state support measures to regulate the activities of socially oriented non-profit organisations providing socially useful services.
