On October 4, the President signed Executive Order on Acting Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic.
In connection with the accession of the Lugansk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation and the establishment of a new constituent entity of the Russian Federation, as well as in accordance with Clause 4 of Article 8 of the Federal Constituent Law No. 6-FKZ, On the Accession of the Lugansk People’s Republic to the Russian Federation and the Establishment of a New Constitutional Entity of the Russian Federation, the Lugansk People’s Republic, dated October 4, 2022, the President approved the appointment of Leonid Pasechnik to the post of Acting Head of the Lugansk People’s Republic until an elected official assumes office.
