Vladimir Putin arrived in Japan to attend the G20 summit

The programme of Vladimir Putin’s visit to Osaka includes taking part in the meeting of the BRICS leaders, which will traditionally be held before the G20 summit, as well as in the RIC format (Russia, India, China) meeting.

The President will also have several bilateral meetings, in particular with the presidents of South Africa, the United States, France, South Korea, Turkey and Egypt as well as with the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the Federal Chancellor of Germany and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

During the summit’s working meetings, heads of delegations from the G20 member countries and invited guest countries as well as heads of leading international organisations will discuss the global economy, finance, international trade, investment, innovations, digitalisation, labour markets, healthcare, sustainable development, infrastructure, energy, climate and environment protection. The key agreements will be reflected in the final declaration of the summit.

On June 29, Vladimir Putin will pay a working visit to Japan. During the talks Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will discuss topical issues of Russian-Japanese cooperation and the international agenda. The two leaders will speak at the closing ceremony of the Year of Russia in Japan and the Year of Japan in Russia.
