President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev: It is a pleasure to see you, Mr President.
The people of Kyrgyzstan are happy about your visit and are looking forward to a change in the relationship between our two countries, because there have been various developments over the past few years. All of us here in Kyrgyzstan understand that Russia is our main strategic partner.
We are very pleased to welcome you. It is gratifying that you were able to come to visit us. I am glad to once again welcome you and your team.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Thank you.
I want to thank you for the invitation and to stress that although we have gone through different periods, as you have said, nevertheless, the relationship between Russia and Kyrgyzstan, between the Russian and Kyrgyzstani people has always been very good.
We may have experienced setbacks or disagreements with the previous leadership of Kyrgyzstan, but I repeat again and I want to stress that our feelings towards Kyrgyzstan and the people of Kyrgyzstan have always been positive, and the relationship between our two countries must develop steadily and move forward.
I hope the plans you have proposed will be discussed and fixed in the documents that have been prepared after a lot of hard work.
Almazbek Atambayev: We were working on them until 5 am.
Vladimir Putin: Yes, I know.
I hope that today we will cement all these agreements and will work hard towards their realisation.
