Dmitry Medvedev submitted the Agreement between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan on creating the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors. The Agreement was signed by the presidents of these states on September 4, 2009 in Moscow.

The presidents of Russia and Turkmenistan discussed key issues of bilateral relations and noted the positive cooperation dynamics in several areas. Mr Medvedev and Mr Berdimuhamedov expressed their satisfaction with the work of the Intergovernmental Commission and the development of interregional ties, which is of major practical importance for the Russian-Turkmen relations.
