Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.
The discussion covered key aspects of Russian-Armenian allied partnership, particularly those pertaining to cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear power and in the oil and gas industry. The two leaders exchanged views on the further development of integration after the Treaty on Armenia’s Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union came into effect on January 2, 2015.
The presidents agreed on a plan of personal contacts that include joint participation in memorial events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide and the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
