President Putin attended events marking the 75th anniversary of breaking the Nazi siege of Leningrad
The President laid flowers at the Landmark Stone monument at Nevsky Pyatachok military historical complex, and visited Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery where he honoured the memory of fallen residents and defenders of Leningrad by laying a wreath at the Motherland monument.
The President also viewed an exhibit organised by the Lenrezerv patriotic society for the 75th anniversary of breaking the siege of Leningrad at the society’s venue. A street in the besieged city was recreated on the museum’s territory using authentic exhibits; the Road of Life diorama with an area of over 500 square meters was unveiled.
Following that, Vladimir Putin attended a gala concert Listen, Country, this is Leningrad speaking at the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall.
