Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on the Easter holiday.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
”The Easter celebrations symbolise the triumph of good and open up new possibilities for spiritual improvement, and showing mercy and care for those around us.
The Russian Orthodox Church has always been the guardian of our people’s traditions, defending our holy places over the centuries and serving our country’s unity and togetherness.
Sharing with you this Easter joy, I express my gratitude to the clergy’s effective efforts to promote our nation’s moral renewal, strengthen social peace and harmony, and educate our youth.“
