Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov congratulated students and faculty on the Russian Students Day, noting that this is a special day for Moscow State University which marks its 258^th birthday, a rather respectable age, which also speaks to the fact that the university has solid roots, and long-standing, wonderful traditions, Mr Ivanov stressed.

The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office remarked that Moscow State University is a source of pride and a Russian national asset and is among the leading educational institutions in the world. Sergei Ivanov emphasised the implementation of the most advanced educational technologies at the University, as well as its solid capacities for research and education.

Russian Students Day – January 25 – has been celebrated in Russia since 2005.
