Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement on Common Principles and Rules of Technical Regulation in the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Russian Federation.
The Agreement was signed in St Petersburg on November 18, 2010.
The Agreement provides for a coordinated policy concerning technical regulation and the formation of a regulatory framework in the Customs Union for technical regulation.
The Agreement will reduce technical barriers for mutual trade between Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on a unified customs territory, as well as creating favourable conditions for trade.
