Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed Al Nahyan, at the initiative of the Emirates.
Current issues of Russian-UAE cooperation were discussed including the implementation of the Declaration on strategic partnership between Russia and the UAE signed after Vladimir Putin and Mohammed Al Nahyan’s talks last June. A positive assessment was given to the cooperation on the development of relations in various areas.
During an exchange of opinions on the situation in the Persian Gulf, both parties noted the importance of preserving stability and security in the area.
It was agreed to maintain personal contact.
