During his working trip to the Arkhangelsk Region Vladimir Putin visited the Ustyansky timber industry complex.
Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Alexander Gutsan and Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulsky accompanied the President, while Director General of ULK Group Vladimir Butorin led the tour.
The President inspected the sawmill department and the forest selection/plant-growing centre. He also examined the ULK Group’s information stands.
Built in 2011, the Ustyansky timber processing plant now covers 40 hectares. The Ustyansky seed-growing complex is one of six national forest reproduction centres. Its specialists conduct the full cycle of planting material preparation, from drying pinecones to hardening off young trees.
