Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On the Consumer Goods Basket in the Russian Federation.
Under the law, the consumer basket for the main social and demographic groups for the country as a whole will be set at least once every five years.
The law sets the composition and amount of food products comprising the consumer basket for the main social and demographic groups nationwide, and also sets the ratio between the cost of non-foods and services and the cost of foods (expressed as a percentage).
