The President paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the Kremlin Wall.
The ceremony was attended by Great Patriotic War veterans, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, other state and political figures.
The President also laid flowers at the monuments to hero cities by the Kremlin Wall. The ceremony was completed with a march by the Presidential Regiment.
